Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective date: August 14, 2026
This page is the refund and cancellation policy for Points & Prompts Pro — the paid subscription, planned at $5/month or $48/year. Charging is not live today, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund until paid plans launch. When they do, this is how cancellation and refunds will work.
The short version. When paid plans launch, you can cancel anytime by emailing hello@pointsandprompts.com. There is no in-app cancel control. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep Pro until the end of what you've already paid for. On the annual plan, if it's not for you, ask within 14 days of being charged and we'll refund it in full. The monthly plan isn't refundable — cancel and you simply aren't billed again. Cancelling never deletes your data.
Cancelling
- Email hello@pointsandprompts.com from the address on your account. That is the only cancel path — there is no in-app cancel control, no retention flow, and no phone call.
- Cancelling turns off auto-renewal. You won't be charged again.
- You keep full Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for — the rest of the month on a monthly plan, the rest of the year on an annual plan. After that, your account drops to the free tier.
- Changed your mind? Resubscribe anytime once paid plans are live. Your wallet and settings will be exactly where you left them.
Refunds
Monthly plans ($5/month)
- The monthly plan isn't refundable. Cancel whenever you like and you keep Pro through the end of the month you've already paid for — you're just never charged again.
- We're telling you that plainly rather than burying it, because at $5 the sensible thing is to cancel rather than ask. The most that is ever at stake is one month.
- Billed in error — a double charge, or a charge after you cancelled? That we refund, always. See below.
Annual plans ($48/year)
- Within 14 days of the initial charge or a renewal charge: full refund, no questions asked. Renewals sneak up on people; we'd rather refund one than keep money you didn't mean to spend.
- After 14 days: no refund, and you keep Pro until the end of the year you paid for. Then you drop to the free plan and nothing is deleted.
Either plan
- If we billed you in error — a double charge, a charge after you cancelled — we'll refund it, full stop, no window.
- Refunds go back to the payment method you used, and typically appear in 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
How to request a refund
Email hello@pointsandprompts.com from the address on your account, and say which charge you mean. That's it — you don't need to give a reason, though if something in the product drove you off, we'd genuinely like to know.
What happens to your bank connection and data
- Cancelling does not delete anything. Your account, wallet, balances, and settings all stay. When paid plans exist, you just move to the free tier when your paid period ends. Charging is not live today, so there is no Pro subscription to cancel.
- Bank connections are not available today. Automatic import is coming with beta. When that path ships, you will be able to disconnect a bank from within the app — subscribed or not — which removes the connection and instructs Plaid to remove its access. We will not disconnect it for you when you cancel.
- You can always delete your own data. The Delete Account button is on your profile page, and it works at any time — whether you're subscribed, cancelled, or on the free tier. It's a self-service control: you don't have to ask us. It removes your profile data from our systems, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account doesn't by itself generate a refund — ask for the refund first if you want one.
Chargebacks
If a charge from us looks wrong, please email us before disputing it with your card issuer — we can almost always fix it faster than a chargeback can, and a chargeback costs us a fee whether or not it's upheld. If a chargeback is filed on a charge we believe was valid, we may suspend the account's Pro access while it's resolved. We won't hold your data hostage over it: your data and the free tier remain available regardless.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and revise the date above. Changes won't take away a refund right you had when you were charged.
