Privacy Policy — Best Card by Points & Prompts

Best Card reads a small amount of information on your device so it can recommend a card for the store you are viewing. The hostname of the active tab is read locally to pick a spending category. It is not sent off-device.

The use of information received from Google APIs, if any, will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What stays on your device

• Hostname of the active tab — read locally to pick a spending category. It is not sent off-device.
• Card and wallet IDs — stored in Chrome's local extension storage. If you open pointsandprompts.com, the extension can copy the card list already kept in that site's local storage so recommendations match your wallet. Those IDs stay local.
• Optional mute — stored locally if you dismiss the on-page control for a domain.

What it fetches

The only network request is a GET of pointsandprompts.com/assets/data.json, the public card-value dataset the website already shows. A copy is cached locally. Recommendations stop if that cache is more than 48 hours old (fail-closed). No personal data, hostname, or card/wallet IDs are included in that request.

No tracking

No analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. No account is required. The extension does not scrape page content.
